Gini Koch, Presenter

Gini Koch 300dpi    Gini Koch writes the fast, fresh and funny Alien/Katherine “Kitty” Katt series for DAW Books, the Necropolis Enforcement Files series, and the Martian Alliance Chronicles series. We are so pleased that she has joined our book festival as a panelist! Gini will be presenting at 1:30 p.m.

Touched by an Alien, Book 1 in the Alien series, was named by Booklist as one of the Top Ten Adult SF/F novels of 2010. Alien in the House, Book 7 in her long-running Alien series, won the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award as the Best Futuristic Romance of 2013. Book 13, Camp Alien, released in May, with Book 14, Alien Nation, coming in December.

As G.J. Koch, she writes the Alexander Outland series. And she’s made the most of multiple personality disorder by writing under a variety of other pen names as well, including Anita Ensal, Jemma Chase, A.E. Stanton, and J.C. Koch.

Gini also has stories featured in a variety of anthologies, including the Unidentified Funny Objects 3, Clockwork Universe: Steampunk vs. Aliens, Two Hundred and Twenty-One Baker Streets, Temporally Out of Order, Unidentified Funny Objects 4, The X-Files: Trust No One, and alt.sherlock.holmes: Three New Visions of the Great Detective anthologies; writing as Anita Ensal, in The Book of Exodi, Love and Rockets, and Boondocks Fantasy anthologies; and, writing as J.C. Koch, in Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters, The Madness of Cthulhu, Vol. 1, A Darke Phantastique, The Mammoth Book of Kaiju, and Out of Tune 2 anthologies, and, coming in 2016, the MECH: Age of Steel anthology.

Gini will also be featured in the WERE-, Alien Artifacts, and Unidentified Funny Objects 5 anthologies, all coming in 2016.

She has a variety of anthologies releasing in 2017 as well and, writing as A.E. Stanton, she will have an audio release, Natural Born Outlaws: The Legend of Belladonna Part 1, coming from Graphic Audio. Gini is an in-demand speaker who panels regularly at San Diego Comic-Con, Phoenix Comic-con, and the Tucson Festival of Books, among others. She’s also been part of the faculty for the San Diego State University Writers Conference, Jambalaya Con, and the Desert Dreams Writers Conference. Gini will be a featured faculty member at the upcoming James River Writers Conference in Richmond, VA in October 2016.
